New Zealand House

I was looking at people's house tours on YouTube, strange past time, I know. I came upon this New Zealand house on the ocean. So cool. At one point she explains that "this room faces north, so it will be warm..."! Can we move to NZ now?

Who has bruised the Queen?

Hmmm. That's an odd spot for a bruise.

Dame Judi

I love Judi Dench. I have her series "As Time Goes By" on DVD and her earlier series with her husband, the name of which escapes me right now.

Anyway, here is Judi with a minor fashion mishap this week. I think she looks great and am not sure how unintentional the mishap was. That underwear looks expensive...

At least she's in her bra, in close proximity to David Beckham, which is more than most of us will ever be able to say...

Old Barn in Quebec

Old barns in Canada have no federal or provincial protection, which means they are all left to fall down or be salvaged for barn board.

Unwelcomed Guest

What is *SHE* doing there?

Cricket was having a perfectly nice nap, then suddenly did the "strange cat" meowling. This is Shawna from next door and it / he / she is crazy. Ordinarily, I love all cats, but this one will attack you if it sees you outside!

Please note the snow and my clothes dryer. One day you're drying clothes outside, the next day you have three feet of snow. Now the back door is snowed shut and I can't get my clothes dryer inside. Oh well, wait for spring, I guess. Only four more months!

Unhealthy English Obsession # 2

I love Agatha Raisin.

I remember staying at a B&B in the Cotswolds a couple of years ago, right in "Agatha" country and the owner had never heard of this series. I couldn't believe she had never heard of them! I love this series and want to move to Carsley.

Unhealthy English Obsession # 1

I am obsessed. I have the entire series on DVD.

Cricket Dreams of Greener Days...

Ahhh... Miss Cricket is remembering days when the world wasn't covered with three feet of snow and she could go outside and smell the flowers. Happy days...

Nothing but snow, snow, snow. Say "good-bye" to that huge deck, Cricket. We're moving to a small-decked house...

Today's storm will cost my city $3 Million Dollars

Today's snowfall will cost my city between $3 and $5 Million to clean up. Nice. This is where my people thought it was wise to settle:

No, that's not me riding around in the &$&$^#**! snow as a bike messenger. I'm not crazy. But this is what my city looks like, for five months every winter. Help me!

Princess and the Bea

I love Bea!

Kelly Pickler has already made more money than the next ten generations of my family...
